Beta?
More like Betastic! I don’t know if you keep up with this kind of stuff but Alpha is, like, totally five minutes ago. We’ll be trading that blue “Alpha” tag in for some yet-to-be-determined “Beta” emblazonment in the beginning of November. It seems like only yesterday there were six of us working at ChaCha, functioning off of a prototype that had thirteen part-time Guides. Now we have twenty employees, a handful of interns, and (last time I counted) 10,239 Guides (which puts us ahead of our goal!). They sure grow up fast don’t they?
So other than the logo looking a little different what does all this “Beta” jazz mean? Only good things…
Improved stability. No more dropped sessions, “Guide not found”s, and ChaCha outages. Or at least they’ll be very rare.
Improved communication. Do you love hearing from ChaCha? Well now you’ll be getting two different kinds of letters from us.
- Bulletins: Bulletins are technical updates that will be sent on an “as needed” basis. These will contain info related to the more technical aspects of the system; what’s getting upgraded, what’s broken, what’s changing, what’s working better than ever.
- Newsletters: These are the fun ones. This will contain all your information about the ChaCha community, stories from the Underground, contest announcements, pretty much everything that doesn’t have anything to do with the system’s functionality.
New Policies. Check your email or the Knowledge Base for these because they’re kinda boring.
Lastly, and most importantly…
Improved results! Have you tried to “Search Without a Guide”? That kind of worked, sort of, right? Well make sure you’re not wearing shoes when we go Beta because they’ll get in the way when the awesome results you get from ChaCha knock your socks off. The algorithmic “Search Without a Guide” function and the human-assisted “Search With a Guide” function will be working together to constantly provide better and better results.
There is also a ChaCha Guide Manual on its way as well as the Official ChaCha Store. All these things will hit in the first couple of weeks of November. Stay tuned!

Go Go Go GOOOOOOOOOO ChaCha!! I was lucky enough to be asked to hold your hand as you are growing and I will be here when you become all grown up.. But I want you to know no matter how big you get I will always be here for you to cheer you on to go further and get bigger. You are going to be a STAR and everyone will know your name!!! . Beta—excellent. Glad i am able to say I knew you when you were just an Alpha. Moving ahead and pursuing a dream an innovated idea/approach is inspirational! I have hit Master level and look forward to growing further along side. Looking to grasp opportunities as they present themselves and enjoy a career Cha Cha-ing . WTG!!:)
I got in pre-launch, helped ChaCha do testing (even brought my laptop to Canada-my brother’s wedding to do testing on ChaCha there as well,) from the moment I started here with ChaCha, it is definitely my addiction, along with coffee
and MAN I can’t even begin to tell you I am so glad I was patient, waited for launch, worked with ChaCha employees who ROCK by the way with such awesome sense of humors. I’m SOOOO glad to see all these positive posts (positive attitudes) the negativity I come across sometimes I just let it ’slide off like ice’ as my brother used to say. I can’t even believe anyone would feel so negative at all, and the only thing that makes sense is some guides don’t understand what this alpha format means, vs. Beta.
Beta is ROLLING IN !!!!!!! 
I used to work for an ecommerce/software company (until sometime after my 1st son was born.) Over a year now, was testing out some website ‘opportunities’ 99% being scams, learned alot from those experiences. Though my ultimate job in my head (I KNEW) I’d never find…..until I saw an ad for ChaCha, I replied, got the info….pinching myself over and over then thinking ‘wow this is too good to be true!!!” MY ULTIMATE PERFECT STAY AT HOME JOB!!!! Working whenever we want, 24/7, working on my computer which I love (I’m a secret computer geek lol), getting paid instantly to our debit/visa card, I could go ON AND ON…..AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I have met awesome people/guides. I have been a much happier person in general since starting ChaCha, like this is ‘me’ time whereas in my house of 3 boys, and my husband (I’m outnumbered lol) I can, like many mom’s, feel like I am last, with working ChaCha, this is all me working, bringing money in, finally able to take over some house bills it’s amazing, truly truly amazing!!!!! So, anyone feeling negative? Please don’t come visit me, no negativity allowed, life is WAY too short to be negative
I’m so honored to be a part of the ChaCha community. I know we’re going to grow far beyond anyone’s greatest expectations. I, also, know I’m going to do everything in my power to help this happen. I am still in the “apprentice” zone and am looking forward to training, training, training. We’re in the lobby now, but before long, we’ll be in the penthouse with a view of the whole world. Again, thank you so very much for letting me be a part of this wonderful opportunity.

This is just so fantastically exciting! And to think, two months ago, I still though Chacha meant some kind of dance or something. I’m proud to have been here on the ground floor and growing (and feeling the growing pains) right along with the company and all my co-workers. I swear, it’s giving me goose bumps right now! I think this is going to be the best thing since sliced bread. Watch your rear view, Google, cuz we’re right behind ya and catching up fast. ROCK ON CHACHA, ROCK ON!
